Winter Music Conference Guide Steps 5 and 6

Winter Music Conference MiamiSTEP 5: BEST WAY TO GO ABOUT DECIDING IF YOU SHOULD RENT A VEHICLE

There is no deciding, that was a trick; you have to rent a vehicle. The thing to remember on this week long work vacation is you are going to need a vehicle. Miami is a place of many amazing features. And you are going to want to visit them all.

So for argument sake, let’s say you do stay on the same strip as the Conference, you are only in one small area of town. You are going to want to venture out and trust me when I say you’d kick yourself if you didn’t rent a vehicle.

  • As mentioned before, we are not fond of dumb asses and strongly advise any extra Insurance coverage’s provided by you own personal Insurance Company and the ones offered by the car rental company....you listening? You don’t want to get stuck in an accident in USA without car insurance. Or, even worse, you get injured and didn’t listen to Health Insurance Step 4. Ok?
Miami is not known as a pedestrian friendly city, but there is one exception to the city, it’s called South Beach. You’ll have to read the Sight seeing section in Step 6 for more information.

Please also be advised of the many maps you will have accumulated up to this point so you can see where you are and where you are going to have to get around to.

STEP 6 BUSINESS OR PLEASURE; YOU’RE GOING TO NEED A STRATEGY PLAN

Okay, so you’ve registered with the WMC 2008, bought a Plane Ticket, booked a Hotel Room, booked your Car Rental and most importantly you bought Insurance.

So let’s talk about the WMC 2008 and all its glory. I mean why would you want to go and what are you going to get out of it.

Now I could write and talk your ear off on the benefits of attending the 23rd Annual World Music Conference, but that’s why they have a site and that’s why some dude spent all that time writing his article, mine is different. Mine is all about the bottom line.

Who are you? What do you do for a living? Is this work or pleasure? If you are going on your own dime and this is a start up company, you need to figure out your strategy. There are going to be a lot of people in the best position to help you in the stepping stones of your company.

  • Check out the www.wmc.com site it’s extremely informative you’ll get all you need from there.
  • ·         Check out blogs and what people have to say from past experiences.

Have you got your shit together, I mean have you done the research, have you scoped out events? DJ’s you want to see? Seminars you want to attend? Have you joined up for any of the Panel’s? There are also some great Remixing and Editing Workshops where interaction with top producers will be the likelihood.

So in your marketing scheme, package, or just sitting around your computer at home like me, you are going to want to set up a strategy that gets people talking and buzzing.  You have to build your marketing position, go to the WMC and set it off.
