First off, it’s time to give TheFreshpage a more personalized touch…and this brings me into the mix. From now on I will be one of the main contributors to the blog and will give my true opinion on anything we post on the site. Like it or hate it my goal will be to get more discussions flowing on this content-rich site.

So who is this Semohn Kaufman anyway? Well if I told you too much I’d have to kill you, but let’s just say I’ve been with TheFreshpage since it’s inception back in 1999. That’s right, 1999! It has molded and grown more than I ever had imagined, and it’s been a lot of fun along the way. I’ve experienced the rave scene and its incredible transformation into a more mature dj club scene…here in Vancouver Canada anyway! Although there have been times when I’ve felt great sorrow for not being able to experience those incredibly adventurous nights in a warehouse along with 3000 strangers who had become my friends for the night, there are still many good new memories being created. I’d love to hear back from the readers of this post. What’s your experience with electronic music? How have you seen it change? Do you like where it is now, or would you like it to change again?

Sole is DJ Yovan’s latest creation of mixed electro tech and progressive house beats. Starting off with Symphony of Love the tempo is set for a music compilation which is mixed very cleanly. Heavy hitters such as Salvation featuring the delicate vocals of Wray and the sharp lyrics of Haze in Freak really takes the music to the edge ready to drop you in a frenzy of beats with R.I.O. To keep things interesting Yovan injects some frisky beats with Armand Van Helden’s Playmate and the tribal-like sounds of The Whisperer…just so damn good. The latter half of this set takes on a more progressive feel including Deep Dish’s latest track that is on fire - Be The Change!
