Kazell with Sasha and John Digweed
KAZELL HITS THE ROAD WITH SASHA AND JOHN DIGWEED
FOR SPRING CLUB TOUR 2008

Here is a live mix from Kazell - Go get Adobe Flash Player!

LA Based DJ Will Open 18 Shows of 21 Leg Tour

Los Angeles, CA – March 20, 2008 – It was announced today that Kazell will be reunited with Sasha and John Digweed on their upcoming Spring Club Tour 2008. Kazell will open 18 of the 21 dates, joining the duo on the road for their April 2nd show in Boston and staying with them until they return to Southern California for their Coachella date.

The Spring Club Tour 2008 is the first time that Sasha and John Digweed are touring North America extensively in six years, taking them through 21 cities landing at Coachella on Saturday April 26th where the duo will be headlining the Dance tent.

The last time Sasha and John Digweed toured the US was in 2002 on their infamous Delta Heavy Tour, known as the most important DJ tour to ever hit America. The tour forever raised the bar for large-scale electronic music events. While most DJ tours are all about taking flights from city to city, this Spring Sasha, John and Kazell will be hitting the pavement, bussing it through the country.

Kazell has played with John Digweed and Sasha frequently, both as individuals and as a DJ duo. He was first acquainted with the pair through Sasha and John Digweed’s Northern Exposure Tour and went on to play alongside them at Liquified’s legendary parties at Los Angeles’ Mayan Theater. Since then he has opened for both artists in locations ranging from Mexico City to Miami.

“It is a real honor to be invited to join the tour and open for Sasha and John,” said Kazell. “Whether headlining or opening I am always thinking about what an audience takes away from a show. The Spring Club Tour is really about setting and creating a mood within the clubs that gives Sasha and John the best possible atmosphere in which to perform.”

Just released Janet Jackson’s Rock with You music video, the 2nd killer track from her latest album Discipline. Hot hot hot! Blending the original 80’s flavour of the track with an electornic touch, this track is extremely suitable for being re-mixed to ROCK dance floors. Check it out:

P.S. Bryan Reyes remix of Janet Jackson’s Rock With You we had mentioned yesterday has been removed from myspace. A total shame because it was an awesome circuit remix of this track

San Francisco Love Fest 2008

Continuing on the tradition of the Love Parade which originated in Berlin, the San Francisco Lovefest 2008 has been announced for October 4, 2008. Bringing hundreds of thousands of people together for the love of music is no easy feat though and the city of San Francisco is brought to a complete standstill as roads are filled with partiers dancing their hearts out.

While Americans are struggling with an economic meltdown, ruthless hurricane season and political uncertainty of our future, San Francisco LoveFest will provide some much needed love. San Francisco’s biggest street party kicks off Saturday, October 4th at San Francisco LoveFest: A Dance Music Parade and Festival. The parade featuring 28 floats will start at San Francisco’s 2nd and Market Streets and continue all the way to Civic Center Plaza for a giant outdoor dance club with the world’s top DJs to celebrate at this free all-ages event. Forgotten Valley UK Music Festival

The Skins are proud to announce their first UK festival by the name of Forgotten Valley on May 23-25 at the Lake District. This is very much hot off the press with very special guests being announced soon, along with what to expect from the Skins crew, fresh from the second series success currently running in Channel 4.

One the Dance side, everyone has come together rather nicely with three partners having confirmed their lineups. Ninja Tune are one of the most respected labels in the business, hailed as “One of the most innovative independent record labels ever in the Independent on Sunday”, and their founders Coldcut are DJing at Forgotten Valley with support from Qemists, DJ Food and DK, J Mountain. And speaking of founders, Circus’ Yousef will be bringing his famed Liverpool party vibes to Cumbria along with his special guest Claude Von Stroke. Circus is one of the most respected and revered house sessions in the world, complete with winning the Radio 1 House Rules Award, so expect things to get a bit crazy. And whilst we’re on crazy, the weekend wouldn’t really be complete without the legendary Back2Basics crew popping down from Leeds to join Forgotten Valley. The club’s founded Dave Beer is bringing two of his fave players, Ivan Smagghe and Ralph Lawson, along to join in the fun. The Leeds institution has been running for years yet remains one of the best, eclectic and downright scintillating sessions in the UK. Look out for sets from Uber DJs and Tokyoblu, impromptu sets and secret parties too.
