The November edition of The Freshcast is a minimal techno masterpiece mixed by our technical house guru Chris Wren. Starting off with “Jahzz” this transcendant piece reflects a French feel which is blended into an inquisitive sound “You Must Be This High”. As the sound progresses we are surprised by the dry and haunting vocals in the Timo Garcia track “Lady Luck” and the tantalizing rhythm of “Pumpz Up the Volume”.

This is where Chris takes us on a fun adventure as “I Dropped My E on the Dancefloor” simple plays with your emotions so you can enjoy “Sunday” like it was the sun breaking through the ominous clouds. The cool thing is that Chris doesn’t hold back at this point and exposes is to some hip shaking minimal beats with “Where the “DJ Hell is Todd Terry”. The finale is quite spectacular indeed…this rendition of “La La Land” is craaaazzzyyyy….

When Chris gets his flow on he brings it all out and with the latest release of The Freschast Summer of Love 2010 we have something truly special. Starting out with an erotic exotic track called “Yama Layali” with David Vendetta vs Haifa Wehbe we have something quite unique and flavourful. Next up you’ll hear Everything But The Girl’s Tracy Thorn blazing her familiar vocals in Dirty South’s Mix of “Grand Canyon” which is masterfully blended into Deadmau5’s transcending “Watercolor”.

The following tracks get cultural and colorful highlighted by Milk and Sugar mix of “Crazy” where the tribal beats come flowing through and take over a part of you, maybe a part you didn’t remember you had! It’s pretty cool where Chris takes you next with the huge build ups Seamus Haji is so well known for in “Just a Friend”.

If you weren’t expecting it the climax is pretty brilliant in the track “Blackwater” something about it which really makes this track really stand out, perhaps it’s the subtleties, but whatever it is, it is DAMN good.

The final part of this mix continues a path worth gold, including “Phazing” and “Teenage Crime” the progression is based on a percussion which pours into your soul. Deep bass carries it all the way through the concluding tracks right through “To Forever”. We WISH!

Music defined in Chris Wren’s Freshcast series is a world you don’t want to live without. A huge statement it is but this mix is proof of that, beginning with a killer club mix of Kaskade’s “Dynasty” your brain starts flooding your body with endorphins and you know instantly what we’re talking about. And with the following D.O.N.S. & DBN Remix of “Where Are You Now” that warm feeling blankets you and places you on a single cloud in a blue sky.

The beats are ethereal and natural, nothing forced about it, “We Are in Words” and “Find Yourself” sets you floating up and up as if you were holding a bunch of coloured progressive electro house balloons that were rising you into the sky.

You might feel at this time that you have a “Vicious Fever” but you realize it’s normal when music is this good and everything else “Just Won’t Do”. This journey Chris has taken on you is quite unique and “The Story About Love” for the music is what he has entwined you in. In the end you will be “Holding On” by your life cause you will not want it to ever end…

DJ Dinsy: “Most of my mixes have a theme within the electro house genre, whether it be hard hitting, synthy, lyrics, no lyrics, dance mix, relaxing mix, certain bass lines, etc. My last mix was mostly no lyrics with hard buzzing bass, which makes certain people content.

However, a lot of my fans request mixes with commercial remixes and similar songs, so I thought I’d satisfy them with this mix. ‘California Girls’ is my longest mix to date, topping 80 minutes, with 22 songs!

Anybody who likes to dance, or even listen to hip-hop radio will enjoy the songs in this mix, transitioned with ease and technically very sound. I was aiming to make this mix listenable to all people, not just those who like house, or hard hitting electro, or certain sounds, and I believe I accomplished exactly that. It is impossible to listen to this mix and not tap your toes, dance, get pumped, or elevate your mood.

The Freshcast makes it’s return with pure glory. After a few months in hiatus, Chris Wren jumps back on the bandwagon and strings together a powerful collection of tracks.

You’re going to like the way Chris warms you up, particularly with “Live Your Life” & “I’m Your Goddess” something about these tracks that just speak comfort and joy.

Of noteworthy consideration is a pretty fun remix of “That Money” by Mischa Daniels Models Mansion, a transcneing Rachel Star remix of “Fantasy” and a killer party busting Vandalism remix of “Hey Hey”.

In the end there is only thing left and that’s…”Louder than Words”….

The June edition of TheFreshcast for 2010 is simply a new face to where the latter half of this year will take us. Are you as excited as we are for what Chris Wren has in store next?

The Journey – DJ Seta

Welcome to “The Journey”…. So far in my DJ career i’ve released countless mixtapes for everyone to download and to enjoy. The numbers probably reaching over 70 at this point.

This time I wanted to do something different. You know when you hear that song for the first time and you get those shivers down your spine, some people might even get a little teary eyed because the song just touches the soul and you can feel it deep inside. From the bass pounding your chest, to the synths hitting that sweet spot in your ear, just making you want to go deeper and deeper into the song.

This is what I was trying to accomplish with this mix.
