M.A.N.D.Y. Moves Your Body Good
Berlin-based creative duo M.A.N.D.Y. (Patrick Bodem and Philipp Jung) began their lifelong obsession with electronica in the late 80’s thanks to mix tapes and the sounds of early acid house.  Egged on by nights out in Frankfurt and an insatiable appetite for parties, they eventually teamed up with Booka Shade (Walter Merziger, Arno Kammermeier and Peter Hayo) and DJ T (Thomas Koch) to cofound Get Physical Records in 2002. 

M.A.N.D.Y. set the bar high for house, techno, and electro lovers with the release of the first Get Physical compilation in 2004.  Similarly, M.A.N.D.Y. and Booka Shade’s “Body Language” continues to linger and charm DJs’ record boxes and audiences everywhere, four years after debuting.  It’s no surprise that Get Physical nabbed “Label of the Year in 2005 and 2006, and that the label’s releases and artists are now stronger than ever.   

M.A.N.D.Y. has remained two of the world’s most impressive and sought-after DJs.  Their newest release Fabric 38  is a dazzling, impeccable work of art – equally impressive as the members themselves. 

 On one CD, it’s hard to capture everything you want to do within a certain amount of minutes. We try to always be – well, not to be minimal, of course not, because that’s not us, but – we try to be subtle. We like to pick tracks that can exist for themselves, but which make a really nice flow for the whole mix. And you don’t want to overdo it and only play the hits or too much melody…a mix should gently take you by the hand and say ‘hey, this is our interpretation of the actual sound’ – bit of the old stuff, bit of the new stuff.
