Things don’t usually move this fast in the dance music industry, but Deepak Sharma and his Hidden Recordings label is currently approaching Defcon 1. The New York City native has the techno flowing in buckets and the press has quickly taken notice.

Previously written about favorably by esteemed publications like Big Shot, Mixmag, Raveline and Time Out NY, Sharma and Hidden Recordings is currently the subject of a wonderful feature in the current issue of DJ Times Magazine. The feature dabbles into Sharma’s production and DJ techniques, his inspiration and tips for aspiring DJs and producers to launch and run a successful label in 2009.

This techno entrepreneur has already become a fan favorite in New York City gigging at the best underground parties in town. On Saturday, April 18 Sharma shares the decks with Spain’s Paco Osuna for a transatlantic voyage into the sound of techno. With the famed Integral Sound System in place at Rebel this promises to be the best sound in town!

This month’s free serving of Hidden techno comes via Deepak Sharma & Dieter Krause’s “Cubik.” It’s the “A side” from an EP of the “Kaleidoscope EP” (out April 17) and a fat slice of NYC techno done right.
