It’s twilight in the woods, where nature and the imagination run wild and unbridled. This is the domain of Bearcraft.
Bearcraft is the latest project from singer/musician/programmer/songwriter Dicky Moore and combines spectral synths and electro beats with pagan, scientific, philosophical and English folk themes.

Bearcraft’s debut single The Werewolf on Hottwerk, is the perfect union of Bearcraft’s formative influences – with hypnotic drum patterns, Gallic disco basslines and cool, disembodied vocals, it tells a tale that takes us from animalistic primal urges, through folk devils, to a contemporary scene of dancing in soaring temperatures and midnight sunshine. With an extended up-tempo special 12” disco version and a remix from east London’s heavyweight electro scientists Chanty Poe (Which has already found itself getting a few plays on Radio 1), the package is completed with another future Bearcraft classic The Omega Point, remixed here by the shadowy EEPROM.
Dicky Moore has already held great company in the international music scene after touring the UK, north America and Japan with Scritti Politti, as well as performing with that band at the 2006 Mercury Music Prize ceremony.
Bearcraft’s debut album is a fantastical, mathematical combination of electro uppers and bewitching acoustic slow-burners spinning folk yarns with an abundance of haunting melodies and the loveliest harmonies.
The album’s songs take in reference points as various as clairvoyance, altered states, barn owls, werewolves, castles, empty barns and retro physics theories
