canadas best dj contest

Canada’s Best DJ Winner – Deadmau5
Thank you all for making your voice heard, with 21,078 of you voting we had a spectacular turn out and the winner is finally announced. Deadmau5 takes the crown as the king of Canada’s Best DJ’s for 2008!

Now this may have been no surprise to you as Deadmau5 is not only a DJ but mostly a successful producer with an army of original tracks and mixes which have catapulted him faster than any other DJ to #11 spot on DJ Mag’s awards (just behind John Digweed and Infected Mushroom). In fact, he was just recently nominated for a Grammy for his remix of The Longest Road by Morgan Page (Youtube video below). This if the first time a Canadian DJ/Producer has ever been nominated for an Emmy!

The crew here at TheFreshpage wanted to thank all DJ’s for their participation in making this contest such a huge success, so who were the follow up winners?

#2 – Electrolyze – www.thefreshpage.com/electrolyze
#3 – Cid K – www.thefreshpage.com/cidk
#4 – DJ Nagy – www.thefreshpage.com/djnagy
#5 – Jester Muzik – www.thefreshpage.com/jestermuzik

Congratulations! TheFreshpage has a great sponsor package which will allow these artists to take it to the next level with one on one contact with our extremely talented marketing team. There will also be many upcoming surprises for these DJ’s.

Stay tuned next year as we make Canada’s Best DJ 2009, bigger, badder and better! If you would like to sign up as a sponsor for next year’s competition please contact us here.

Thanks for giving The Mouse his due. You are right, the is a prolific riff machine with solid beats. Besides I like his hat more than Pam Anderson’s.

The next time he goes to the Grammy’s I hope he sits in the front row wearing his hat. His music is phenomenal and worthy of greater recognition than that of some acts who landed front seats and loud applause.
