Decibel Festival 2008
The fifth annual Decibel Festival will again submerse Seattle in the broad spectrum of electronic music and its surrounding cultural elements.
Since its inception in 2003, Decibel has booked over 400 acts, culminating in the biggest edition yet this fall. Following the success and critical acclaim of previous editions, the festival is once again assembling a diverse selection of international talent designed to stimulate its audience on multiple levels.
The lineup features artists at the forefront of electronic music production, alongside exciting visual art performances, multimedia installations, workshops and panel discussions. With this landmark anniversary, Decibel will showcase several debut performances as well as some return favorites.
The four-day annual Decibel International Festival of Electronic Music Performance, Visual Art and New Media takes place this September 25 – 28.
The preliminary lineup thus far includes: Carl Craig, Deadmau5, Jahcoozi, Burnt Friedman, Audion, Luca Bacchetti, The Bug, Dixon, Barbara Morgenstern, Tujiko Noriko, Jeff Samuel, William Basinski, Deaf Center, Tycho, Santiago & Bushido, Akira Rabelais, Mike Monday, Eluvium, Library Tapes, Noah Pred, Kilowatts, Jeff Greinke, Derek Plaslaiko, Welder, Alland Byallo, Eskmo, Jacob London, Deru, Lusine, Craig Kuna, Balún, Nikola Baytala, Sammy D, Let’s Go Outside, Les Freres Courvoisier, Alala.One, M.
