Mark Farina Mushroom Jazz 6
Before there was downtempo there was Mushroom Jazz….
Featuring 20 new and exclusive tracks hand picked and mixed by DJ Mark Farina.

It’s like a deep satisfying breath of fresh air listening to this album – all of your senses are immediately indulged. DJ Mark Farina is back, proving that the classic Mushroom Jazz series has once again pushed the musical envelope. The 6th album in the series truly raises the bar with the incorporation of funky hip-hop, soul, and downtempo beats. Mark throws forward a unique layering of the elements while integrating transitionary effects. Everything circles in for an eclectic array of musical mayhem. Once the excursion with this album begins, it’s immediately accessible for home listening, relaxation, or the early hours of a big night out.

This collection appeases every listener’s musical needs, and comes with new beats from the man himself. The sixth edition of this widely acclaimed series includes a track from Mark entitled “Life,” along with new music from Om veterans King Kooba, J Boogie’s Dubtronic Science and newcomers The Jazzual Suspects. These artists, along with his added samples help give a sense of unity to the whole album, while the house influences add a bit of variety.

Mushroom Jazz 6 classically integrates various genres into a cohesive party set. Mark’s selection is intriguing, slipping between the well- known and the party gems. It has, in the past raised an eyebrow or two – and will do the same this time around. It’s guaranteed to remind fans why they love the music so much. It can’t help but make anyone want to tap their toes and raise the corner of their mouth with a grimacing “”thank you-like” smile.
