Hey Marlin, just wanted drop an intro. Yes you're right about not hearing about my production company because this is our first show. Although my roots are quite extensive in the underground scene. I started DJ'ing in Van in 94' under the alias DJ Ricochet with Dose Productions in the rave days. Then I got back into the house scene in 98' and left Vancouver for 6 years to travel and work on cruise ships. Now I'm back in Van for good I have teamed up with a few local producers/DJ's and graphic artists to create Prolific. Our vibe is to bring diverse sounds to our shows and not limit the experience to just one style of music. Obviously, our upcoming show we have the main attraction Fred Everything, but our goal is to also bring in other diverse local DJ's and Live artists. We're all about supporting the talented players in the underground community that don't necessarily get much spotlight in Vancity. Take for example 1LUV who is our live performing artist at the show. They're music is more known globally and are signed by major labels around the world, but they're exposure is a little limited in Van. Aklimatize and Chris Lima are amazing Broken Beat producers, but with them on 4 turntables at our show, they showcase some serious diverse and funked out sets with their Beats and Scratches show. So furthermore, expect more diverse shows from us in the future as we're looking to utilize the multi-room venue at the Waldorf Hotel in the summer months. After the Fred show, we'll be starting a bi-weely show on Fridays at the Waldorf beginning June 1st. Supporting the music and the Vancity artists in a positive way is what we're all about! Thx for the minute. PCE. Ricco

Hey Ricco!  Thanks for the update.  Sounds pretty good, I'm interested to see what you guys can do.  This city is pretty lack-luster with the promoters lately. They are bringing in good talent but so many times it's on a Thursday or they are not bringing in a good sound system for world renown dj's/producers and it's actually embarrassing seeing the artist try and make up for the shitty sound at the venue.

Best of luck man!

Marlin, I totally agree with you and I can assure you that I am putting my resources into spending money on a good system. Being a DJ I know the justice sound does to a great DJ and I refuse to cheap out on that aspect. My shows will not only sound good, but it will look good visually as well. Attention to detail I will provide in my shows. Hope you can make it out cuz' it will be more than just a sick show, it's going to be an epic event. Easy...R
