Also, I think the system logs you off too quickly.

Hey Discofunkbaby, the "sticky" designation is basically a feature which lets the administrator post a message that stays at the top of the message board for that category.  In other words it will not get shifted down when new messages are posted.  This is of course important for the message board when we have something important to notify you of.

P.S. we will look into the system logging you off too quickly.

If you're concerned about the system logging you off too quickly, you should click on the "Log me on automatically each visit" box at the login screen. It will make sure you are NEVER logged off until you click the "Logout" button.. or clear your cookies.

How long has this particular net venue been here? how can I have not heard of it before now? unbelieveable, I'm going to have to talk to my local Member of Parliament about this.

In other words, "Sweet!"

Hey Sanjuro_NARx!

Glad you are really enjoying the site. The Freshpage was first launched in February of 1997. However, the focus of the site has changed dramatically over the years from being an info portal for parties to now so much more directly aimed at the electronic music scene. In addition to this, we are very proud to be Canada's Largest Real Audio Archive with over 45 sets of music streaming at your finger tips. The only thing that has kept us back has been the time involved in keeping a site like this alive, but with the amazing response we have been getting lately we are sure of good things to come. Plus we are currently giving people the opportunity to contribute to the site by writing CD reviews and reporting on clubs, after hours and parties. With our arms always open to your input, we hope The Freshpage will be able to create a flourishing well knit community.

This newest version of the site has taken 6 months of coding and designing and we are very pleased with the outcome. There may still be a few things to work out, but wait until you see what we have in store for you in the future!

The Freshpage is originally and currently owned and operated by Brave Media Inc. which is an exciting New Media company located right here in Vancouver. Check out their site to find out more about them http://www.bravemedia.com.

Please keep the positive feedback coming!

Yeah, so I was thinking, maybe if it hasn't been done already you peepul should think about circulating some stickers, or postcards or such, in all the usual places to advertise the Freshpage.  I'm pretty sure it would increase usership, get a little more of a community going on up in here!

more users & more traffic = more community voice!
(and perhaps some advertising dollars?)
