Yo.
Two americans from Ohio (my house spinning self and my beautiful wife) are looking to get the hell outta this country now that we realize just how incredibly stupid and evil a majority of the US is. Vancouver seems like the spot. I'm looking out for some universities to finish up school, and wondering how important it is to pick up some french.  I've been doing IT networking for the past 9 years, and looking for some advice in that industry/job market.  My wife would like to finish her degree in accounting when we move up also.

Ok, that's the professional side of life, howzbout the fun stuff? What're some good house clubs up in Vancouver? What's the scene like? Judging from this site you've got a good vibe and plenty of cool headz.

From what I've seen/heard, Vancouver seems very cool, and a good place to live a life. I hope some of you folks respond to the post, I'd like to meet some of you.

With much love and hope for the future,
Husky J and Ms. Monica

Hey guys, sorry to hear your country has voted in the "Evil Do'er" again!  We up here still can't believe it, in fact the whole world can't believe it, but somewhow it has happened again.

THe house scene up here is great, we have lots of club events these days, but every once in a while there is a truly special party.

Good luck with schools up here, we have some good ones likes SFU and BCIT (stay away from UBC!).

With the olympics coming in less than 6 years this city is booming right now.  There is a special energy that can't be found in any other city and celebrities are realizing its true potential here!

Keep us updated with your progress and if you come up here, let us know what you think.  It'll take a while for you to get used to it, but once you do, there is nothing you can't do in Vancouver!

Vancouver is definitely the place to be, the other day I went to a seminar with David Chilton speaking (he's the author of the acclaimed "Wealthy Barber" series) and he mentioned that it can be argued that right now right here in Vancouver, it could be said that this is the best time in history in terms of the resources available to us (medical, technological, wealth, etc.)!  That thought in itself is pretty powerful!

Shit, Americans should be really ashamed.  The whole world thinks they're a bunch of red-necks now just because of Bush.  He somehow managed to make the political race a religious race and prevailed as an all around hater:
against gays
against abortions
against anything to do with saving the environment
against middle to lower class
against life saving stem cell research
against the constitution of America and privacy act
against freedom on the internet
and the list goes on and on....

He must be doing something right if 90,000,000 people are voting for him!

Or those 90,000,000 have other fears that they have been brainwashed to beleive.  E.g. republicans calling people and acting as democrats saying that if you don't vote for us then all those gay people can't marry and come live right next to you in your neighbourhood.  This was a recorded message that was being criticized on a national radio station in the states, pretty unbelievable!

i don't see why americans feel the need to leave the country because of one president.  he has 4 years left, that is it!!

look at cuba, now there's a long term leader that you may want to get away from.

if you can't have any patriotism in your country, why would someone else want you in theirs?

Hey'all....
Im an Australian living in Canada and therefore got a frontrow seat to the election!
I cant believe after the abundance of evidence against Bush (fahrenheit 911 etc!!!) how stupid can one country be?
The fact that you have 5 cowards leading the most powerful defence force in the world, is enough evidence of the fall of the Evil Empire!
Did you know the likes of Bush, Rummsfield, Chaney and the likes NEVER served in the military for their country??? Yet have no hesitation in sending young troops to war! If they had ever been in Vietnam or similar, maybe they would have a different outlook on the value of the human life and not have sent the troops to Iraq in the first place!!!
The real arrogance stems from the fact that the United States of America doesnt show the rest of the world the respect it deserves. Every country should be treated with respect and only given 'help' when they request it or are given permission by the U.N. That stupid, uneducated fool on CNN stating that Canadians should feel priviliged to be ALLOWED to reside next to the U.S was a perfect example of the arrogance of the majority of the country.  Canadians arent worried whether the U.S defends then or not! The fact is Canada doesnt have any enemies. Canada's government works with the world, not against it!

And to those Americans who think they can go to Canada and be given an easy in - get in line. You are no more special than anyone else. You should go through the same procedures as everyone else who is trying to stay in this great country!
