Over the past several years the scene in Vancity has tranformed many times.  It went from total underground to mainstream with a resistant underground to now what I think is all mainstream, but necessarily all that bad.  People in their late 20's and early 30's are just finding out what they're missing and really getting into it!
Would you say you are for it all the way it is now, or against it and would rather it change somehow again?  How would you change it?   :?:

Underground is dead to a point, but the afterhours scene can still have some underground elements to it as they are sporadic and possibly bustable.  I agree with you on the older people getting to realize what they were missing, it's becoming much more like T.O.

Unfortunately some of the afterhours I've been to lately has also been very mainstream, a lot of hoochies and steroid heads.  It's nice when the promoters for those afterhours actually target their crowds specifically and get a bunch of good happy people together.

[a lot of hoochies and steroid heads]

They'll always be present, you just gotta pick your partys/afterhours wisely.

Underground is how you perceive it.

Sometimes it's hard to be picky about which afterhours to go to since you're with a bunch of your friends and just want to go somewhere right away.  Has anyone heard about what's happenin with Serotonin on Granville and Smithe?
