Check out http://www.grahamgold.com, http://www.cosmicgate-music.de

Mike Downey - Formerly known as DJ Spaz, Mike Downey moved to Los Angeles from Victoria, British Columbia in April of 1999 aspiring to become one of North Americas top Djs. Mike has had 2 residencies, both at clubs in LA called Future Shock @ Soho, and the Crystal. Having made a name for himself up in Canada, Mike gets flown up often to spin at clubs, after hours, raves like Summer Love with over 9000 people, and radio shows with over 250,000 listeners, in places such as Vancouver, Victoria, Edmonton, and Seattle.
Mike like to progress his sets with different styles from hard progressive house to progressive trance to NU-NRG Techno, and finishing off with his darker style of techno with speeds ranging anywhere from 135-155 beats per minute, supplying the needs to everyone in the crowd while keeping everyone on the dance floor.

Hope that answers your question!

Don't think this party will be geared towards an older crowd, otherwise it would probably be listed in the afterhours section of this site.  Besides I've seen flyers for it everywhere including clothing stores which pretty much means high school teens invited!  I wouldn't waste my money on it, parties like this are what have taken the scene into the garbage.

No prob Ans!  too bad about the DJ Dan cancellation 'eh... ah well haven't heard much else going on for saturday, besides this site usually has the info before I do!     but yea, the lotus is definitely sweet on sat's as well as My House at the waldorf is usually pretty decent too.  I'll message you if I hear anything else for that night though.  have a good one.

If anyone else is interested, Vancouver's own Jay Tripwire will be spinning some kick ass tech-house on Saturday at 555 Davie ( Backdoor Lounge ). Good eats and great beats.....ciao

Thats a little bit harsh.  What was the first 'rave' you went to, were there not a lot of late teens there?

besides this is a promotion forum not a event critique forum.

Sorry if it sounded too harsh.  I too was a late teen when I started way back in the early 90's but my point is that flyers weren't distributed in stores like Aritzia and Below the Belt were lots of early teenagers visit frequently.  I think proper promotion has it's place and these stores aren't them.  But the politics of proper promoting is a long discussion....
