Bio: DJ Jinx aka Joe De Simone, born and raised in Toronto Canada began his musical experiences through playing Piano and Saxophone and impressed by the sounds of Jazz, Funk, Soul, R&B, Retro and Disco. In Toronto Jinx made frequent trips to record stores which inspired him to amerce himself into Underground House music.

At this point in time, Jinx new he had acquired a unique talent for using turntables. It wasn’t long after that local promoters and dj’s were impressed by his beat matching abilities, programming skills, and his ability to mix records seamlessly.

By his natural ability to handle the turntables, he makes the art of DJing look effortless. Through recognition of his talents, Jinx was led to play at local night clubs and lounges. Jinx was also a monthly resident on university radio CIUT 89.5 FM.

In the year 2000, Jinx began to take his musical influences through DJing and apply them to his own House music productions. Through extensive experimenting with looping beats and grooves, Jinx developed his own dynamic production techniques.

Through already having a strong understanding of music production, structure and arrangement, Jinx decided to further his knowledge and studied music production, engineering, and music theory at the Harris Institute For The Arts in Toronto. This experience gave him an opportunity to develop a network or artists, producers, engineers, record label owners, managers and DJ’s within the industry. His aspirations are to continue creating cutting edge electronic music for the future and surpassing all limits.
