Bio: I started DJing in Canada in 2001, when a friend of mine who had his own radio show had me over at his place and let me play around with mixing records. I was hooked. Soon after, I was pestering him to let me mix more, and eventually ended up DJing with him and another friend at some venues. Three of us were weekly DJs at a club called Buddha Bar in Ottawa. I also played at the Underground, a few outdoor parties, and at a lounge called Collection.
At this point, I got my own weekly radio show called "Statique" on CHUO FM in Ottawa. I was mainly interested in House and Techno, although I started playing around with more downtempo music.
Later, I moved to Calgary and started DJing there. I played at some more parties and was a resident DJ at a restaurant called Verve in Kensington.
I now live in Copenhagen, Denmark, where I am DJing at some restaurants and lounges. I'm always looking for more acid jazz beats, downtempo grooves and lounge tracks.
What do I do other than DJing? I like to ski and mountain climb, and I'm going this summer to South America to try to get up a 6000m mountain. If all goes well, I'll be trying another, much colder mountain in Alaska next year called Denali. You can check out a few pics of my most recent climbs at www.summitpost.org
