Bio: Welcome to the GrooveKitchen .. a collection of three DJ..s, and three live musicians. A little background .. The GrooveKitchen had its beginnings in early 2003, when the boys (and the girl) came together to drop some funky beats and began to spread their special skills nationwide over the internet airwaves on www.club246.com. Each accomplished DJ..s in their own right, with over 30 years of combined experience, the joining of forces very naturally led to the formation of a company to promote their individual talents. From jazzy, down tempo horn riffs, to soulful funky uplifting house music, to down and dirty breaks, the diverse musical preferences of the three blend together into a smooth, rich collaboration of sound. 2004 and 2005 saw the GrooveKitchen taking things to the next level by promoting not only the creative skills of the members, but also in producing events in Calgary featuring local, national, and international talent. The GrooveKitchen has hosted such parties headlining DJ Sugar from Halifax, Justin Long from Chicago, Troydon House of Om tour, DJ Garth, M3, Andy Caldwell, and the Femme DJ..s from San Francisco. 2007 see's the GrooveKitchen hosting it's monthly as part of the RedLight Sessions at the Amsterdam Rhino and hosting it's monthly at the Mynt with a variety of International DJ talent. Robert’s plans for the near future include the continued development of his own studio recordings, to be released under his brainchild, KitchenSink Recordings, a company designed to sign and promote home-grown Canadian talent.
